I have known Debbie for
several years now and the challenge for me as I read this book was to
continually wonder if it was written about a different woman from the one
that I know. It is amazing to see what God has done in her life, yet the book
also offers hope to others as they read it. Several aspects of the book impacted
me. Debbie says “and to some degree I was forced to grow up at a very fast
rate”. Many young people in Australia also share this same experience;
they miss much of their childhood and find it difficult to cope with this. This
book shows you the reality but also offers hope. The Chapter “Why can’t I be believed” was sad, but to many it is
real. For those like me that have never been through this situation it gives
insight so that we may be able to help others. I am sure you will enjoy this
book.
